Los Angeles, CA: Kennedy For President Committee, 1968. An archive of twenty-five (25) items of original ephemera from Robert F Kennedy's Campaign in Los Angeles, CA. The items include: A "Comprehensive Position Paper", 21 pp., from RFK's competitor, Eugene McCarthy For President, an S.R.O Committee soliciting donations for an event at the LA Memorial Sports Arena on May 24th which includes 12 Hollywood legends appearing with RFK. One of those names, Roosevelt Grier, was also with him at the time of the assasination; as well as pamphlets, envelopes, door hangers, rally poster, and fact sheets. All items are in fine condition, with only the position paper having some toning at the perimeter.

This being the city where he was assasinated following his win of the California and South Dakota primaries on June 4th. As Kennedy was leaving the celebration at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles following the win, he went through the hotel kitchen where he was shot and killed. This campaign kit is of the type available the hotel the day of the shooting. Item #2746
