Typed Note Signed (TNS); Congratulations to Henry Kissinger

Washington DC: The White House, May 17, 1983. Association copy addressed to Dr. Henry Kissinger, on "The White House" letterhead with embossed presidential seal, likely autopen. Personal note from the Great Communicator to America's Ambassador Emeritus. Signed in firm, consistent script, likely autopen or secretarial. Includes WH envelope addressed to Kissinger. Dr. Kissinger served as Secretary of State under President Nixon and advised presidents for over 50 years. Less than two months after this note, President Reagan appointed him to chair the National Bipartisan Commission on Central America until it ceased operations, and from 1984-1990 he served as a member of the President’s Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board. Obviously a close relationship between the two world thinkers. Fine with only a horizontal fold. Item #2690

"Dear Henry, I congratulate you on the dedication of the Henry Kissinger Chair at the Center for Strategic and International Studies...Your contributions to diplomacy are a part of history." - Ronald Reagan.
