The recipient of this Consulship, Eleanor V. Levy, experienced a varied career in the Foreign Service, which she entered in her 30s, serving as a financial officer in posts that included Germany just after WWII, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Pretoria, South Africa and various sub-Saharan African nations.
