Paris: c. 1900. 3.75" x 2.25" Calling Card with manuscript salutation and printed: Emile Zola / 23, rue de Boulogne". A French literary hero, buried in the Pantheon, Zola was not only a prolfic novel and short story writer, but a social activist and editorial journalist. His masterpiece, "J'Accuse", was consequential in the liberation of Alfred Dreyfus from his wrongly condemned treason conviction. Very good with 2 corner tapes, inside an appropriate red matte.
