Boston, MA: Houghton Mifflin, 1919. Limited Edition / One of 575 copies with 500 copies autographed. Eight black cloth with dark green paper over boards and titling on spine label. Signed by author on fourth blank title page. 7.25" x 11", 4 - 45 pp with frontispiece of Roosevelt. Light wear to the corners and rub to the sun fade spine, paper label rubbed at left end missing first letter. A few fox spotting on interior. Rear page book stamp, in red; "From the collection Senator Ralph W. Yarborough", Also previous owner name and date in manuscript on ffe. Henry Lodge, long time Senator from Massachusettes, was a close friend to Theodore Roosevelt dating back to the early 1880's. Even after Roosevelt left the Republican Party, Lodge memorialized this great American president in this stirring eulogy. Very good. Item #2795
