July 2, 1846 - 1894. A modest archive items from the mid-to-late 19th Century. They are assembled by chance and not design, spanning across a breadth of America and variety of subjects: [A] Cotillion Party invitation, addressed to Mr. H. Fowler an Miss May E. Field, Monroeton, PA July 2d, 1846. [B] Invitation to the Grand New Year's Ball at the Town Hall in Claremont, NH, Dec 30, 1868, with envelope. [C] Sampson's General Purchasing Catalog and introductory letter, with mailing envelope post marked Nov. 1887. This catalog issued for 1888 is an extensive list of American and Foreign Newspaper and Magazine available for subscription and delivery. [D] Invitation to the Beaver Dam Cornet Band on Feb 22d, 1876 along with a period advertisement, 8 pp. adhesive bound. Extolling the virtues of Vita water as cure for most any malady know to man at only $10 for a 45-gallon barrel. [E] Dance Card for the Military, Civic and Christmas Ball on Dec 24, 1868. [F] Miniature photo album containing thirty-four (34) tintype headshots (1" x .75"), cover present but unattached. Mostly Very Good with usual aging and some light edge wear on a few pieces.
