Both volumes in similar condition, light edge wear, more noticeable at the vertical edges of the spine. V. I has a closed corner tear on p. 175, includes a red silk book marker. Louis Untermeyer (1885 – 1977) was a poet, anthologist, critic, and editor. He was appointed the fourteenth Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress in 1961 thru 1963. Unsubstatiated actions on his part resulted in being identified by the House Committee on Un-American Activities and blacklisted by the television industry. Very good. Item #2556
